The 5 year olds spent a couple weeks learning about doctors before the easter holidays. Here are some photos of the activities.

The 5 year olds are learning about doctors and how to take care of their health. Here are some activities to practice at home!

Doctors

The 5 year olds have been busy learning about doctors and nurses, and the equipment they use to check our health.
We role played "going to the doctor" and saying good morning, thank you, and goodbye.
We have learnt phrases including "to listen to the heart, to look in the ears/throat, to check the legs, to cut the bandage, to put the bandage on, to give an injection and to take the temperature". We also learnt to say "it hurts!" The children enjoyed practising bandaging and looking after each other. We also learnt to put our hands over our mouth to stop germs from spreading when we cough.

Los niños/as de 5 años han estado aprendiendo sobre doctores y enfermeras y el material que usan para chequear nuestra salud. Escenificamos "vamos al doctor" y dijeron buenos días, gracias y adios.

Hemos aprendido las frases "escuchar el corazón, mirar los oídos/la garganta, chequear las piernas, cortar vendas, poner una venda, poner una inyección y tomar la fiebre". También aprendimos a decir "me duele". Los niños/as disfrutaron haciendo vendajes y cuidándose unos a otros.

También aprendimos a poner la mano tapando nuestra boca para evitar que salgan los gérmenes cuando tosemos. Hicimos un experimento: con un globo lleno de papelitos, que simulaba nuestra boca, y que al toser (abrir el globo de golpe), si no poniamos la mano delante, expandía todos los gérmenes (los papelitos).
